Microalgae, single-cell photosynthetic organisms is a promising solution to many of the world's issues. Can be used to make a variety of products, including bioplastics, biofuels, animal feed, biofertilizers, food supplements, and pharmaceuticals, all while reducing CO2.
However high cost of end production due to scaling manufacturing issues is the main obstacle to widespread use of microalgae.
